AOL-Time Warner plead case before EU

U.S. Internet services giant America Online Inc. (aol) and Time Warner Inc. (twx) have offered concessions on their proposed merger to meet European Union competition concerns, an EU spokeswoman said on Friday.

"Undertakings have been made regarding the AOL-Time Warner deal," European Commission spokeswoman Amelia Torres told Reuters, declining to give further details.

Industry sources said AOL has suggested ending its joint promotion, distribution and sales agreement with Germany's Bertelsmann AG. Full story. -- Reuters
