AOL Time Warner's America Online division has laid off 20 employees from its interactive marketing department, an AOL representative confirmed.

The layoffs came mainly from administration, finance and account coordination sections in the department. The cuts follow an overall reorganization at the online giant in August that eliminated 1,200 jobs. As part of that restructuring, former New Line Cinema executive Robert Friedman was tapped to head interactive marketing, replacing Myer Berlow. Friedman also heads AOLTV. The interactive marketing division oversees all advertising sales operations at AOL and employs 750 people.
