As the ham to spam ratio continues to plummet, what are your plans for 2008?

Here's a question to ponder as 2007 draws to a close ...

The volume of spam hitting inboxes doesn't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down, and this is making it increasingly difficult to sort out genuine email from all the junk spam.  With this in mind, what are your plans for 2008?  Maybe you already have spam under control, or your spam intake is low enough for it not to be a problem.  Or, maybe, you're drowning in invites to participate in dodgy financial deals and pharmaceuticals which promise targeted Hulk-like growth and hoping for a life line.

I'm certainly going to be reassessing my spam plans next year.  On some of my email accounts spam is under tight control, but on others it's beginning to be a real problem and the problem is that spam filtering is far from being 100%, and a failure rate in the detection as low 0.5% is unacceptable on some email accounts (especially if the failure is where genuine email is marked as junk).

Even a failure rate as low as 0.01% could be unacceptable if it flags an important message as junk.  Because of this you have to err on the side of caution, open the taps up a bit and put up with organized criminals and aggressive marketers getting more eyeball time than they deserve.
