ASG Group today announced the signing of a six-year, $13 million contract to provide IT services to the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy.

"We will allocate additional resources to the department including end user support, mid-range infrastructure, voice, network and cross platform services," ASG Group sales chief Murray Rosa said in a statement.

"The contract win highlights the department's satisfaction with the flexibility and responsibility of ASG Group's proposed services and the confidence of the department to include voice services capability," said Rosa.

According to Rosa, the contract was secured against "strong competition" and is another notch in the company's total pool of contracts it said was worth $71 million.

In February, ASG signed a $35 million contract to provide IT services to WA Power.

However, according to ASG, more contract announcements are on the way. "ASG Group will shortly announce more opportunities of almost double this value," said Rosa.
