ASP makes life easy for ice-cream maker

SAP has signed up a tasty customer for its ASP solution - ice-cream merchant Frederick's Dairies based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. The system will handle its sales order processing, warehouse management, inventory, procurement and financial services for Frederick's Dairies, which prides itself on having an IT staff of zero. The company has chosen SAP's Connect and Go ASP solution, hosted by I-Fusion. SAP is counting on the ASP model to spearhead its drive into the medium-size enterprise market, and a spokesman for the company said that it expects more announcements shortly.
