Android users who want to use a smartwatch from a manufacturer beginning with the letter A, and even use a crown to interact with the device, need wait no longer with Asus launching the ZenWatch 2.
Unveiled prior to the official start of Computex 2015, the bezel-heavy ZenWatch 2 is available in two sizes -- 49 x 41 millimetres, and 45 x 37 millimetres; three colours -- silver, "gunmetal", or rose gold; and has 18 different watch straps available.
Powered by a Qualcomm processor, Android Wear, and made with an AMOLED display covered with Gorilla Glass 3, the watch is dust tight and can withstand being submerged in 1 metre of water for 30 mins.
Unlike its predecessor, the ZenWatch 2 sports a crown to interact with the device.
Asus also took the wraps off its AiO Series, which the company said will be its premium offering of all-in-one PCs, consisting of the 21.5-inch Z220IC and the 23.8-inch Z240IC.
Both are claimed to be the first all-in-ones to use USB 3.1 Gen 2, and make use of the USB Type C reversible connector, as well as coming packed with an Intel RealSense camera to allow motion sensing and facial recognition.
A collection of new 8-inch ZenPad tablets also appeared today. The ZenPads come with interchangeable covers, some of which provide additional functionality. The Audio Cover comes with six speakers that a provide Dolby 5.1 sound, while the Power Case will extend the battery life of a ZenPad 8.0 to up to 15 hours.
The more powerful ZenPad S 8.0 uses a 1536x2048 display with 324 pixels per inch, is built with a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor, and arrives with 4GB of memory. There is also the option of using a stylus that is able to detect 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, and has 150 hours of battery life.
The Taiwanese manufacturer announced the 5.5-inch ZenPhone Selfie -- a phone with a 13 megapixel camera and dual-tone flashes on both the front and rear of the device. The phone is powered by the 8-core, 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, and uses holey covers reminiscent of those used on the LG G4.
