Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, in the United States, AT&T is one of the largest telecommunications and networking companies worldwide.

AT&T provides wireless services, Internet access services, as well as local, long distance and international voice services in the United States.

The company has also made moves in the entertainment and communications industry. An example is its video offerings, which include "next-generation television services".

It is placed 10th among the 2008 Fortune 500 and 29th among the 2008 Global Fortune 500.

In 2007, AT&T inked an exclusive deal to sell Apple's iPhone for use on its network in the United States. It also became the first carrier to sell the iPhone globally.

AT&T ranks among ZDNet Asia's Top 10 fastest-growing companies for 2008/2009.
