The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia was given the go-ahead on Friday after the High Court ruled that it would not hear Apple's application for special leave to reinstate the ban on the tablet.
The ruling means that Samsung is now free to import the Galaxy Tab 10.1 into Australia en masse for a full launch before the busy Christmas sales period.
Samsung said in a statement that it is thrilled with the judgment. "Samsung Electronics Australia is pleased with today's judgment by the High Court of Australia to deny Apple's request to appeal the decision of the Full Court."
