Bad news from Ireland

Baltimore is poised to announce 400 job losses this week in reaction to poor sales figures. Baltimore is expected to reveal a half year pre-tax loss of £18m on Wednesday. The company, once valued at £13bn, is now worth just £115m. The job losses come on top of the 250 already announced in May. A source close the company told the Independent on Sunday that between 250 and 400 people will be asked to leave. The paper also reports that Baltimore - which employs around 1,400 people - is considering disposing of Content Technologies.
