BenQ has debuted another addition to its growing S-series family of digital cameras, and there's more to notice on the S1420 than just that metallic orange exterior.

BenQ has implemented a few features to compensate for camera shake and difficult settings. First, there is the straight-forward Optical Image Stabilizer to reduce blur and work with low shutter speeds for clearer shots. That's followed up by the HDR II image enhancement technology, dubbed as "a magical feature," which improves the quality of high-contrast scenes plus gets the nitty-gritty details of both light and dark areas.

Other significant features include the 26mm wide-angle lens with 5x optical zoom, 3.0-inch LCD screen, 720p HD video recording mode and a max ISO 6400 level. The S1420 also sports a number of fun preset features such as "Lomo” for accented dark corners and “Fisheye," which is self-explanatory.

No word on pricing just yet, but the S1420 will be available in Asia this month, with Latin America and Europe to follow in January.
