Best Buy is trying a new wrinkle in the fight for Black Friday mindshare. The electronics retailer released its ad earlier in the week, but is now a back with a "wait, there's more" approach, adding 300 more deals. While none are for Apple Macs or iPads, staples of its Black Friday ads, there are a handful of new PC specials.
Most notable is a Windows 10 laptop at a low, low price. The Acer One is a 10.1-inch notebook with Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage for $129.99, or $70 off today's price. Best Buy is also chopping $300 off select Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablets, which have been superseded by the Surface Pro 4, though it appears that the discount is being applied only to pricier versions (the ad specifying versions $1,299.99 to $1,549.99).
HP's Spectre X360 Special Edition 2-in-1 devices will see price cuts of $200, though the retailer hasn't detailed which particular configurations will receive the discount. Two Lenovo portables round out the new laptop specials, each costing $999.99. The Y700 features a 15.6-inch touchscreen, Intel Core i7 CPU, 8 gigs of RAM, and a terabyte hard drive, while the Yoga 3 Pro hybrid comes with a Core M processor, 8GB of memory, 256GB SSD, and 13.3-inch touchscreen. Note that the discounts promised in the ad appear to be larger than the price difference currently on Best Buy's site -- in fact, there are two Yoga 3 Pro configs with similar specs that are less than $999.99 right now.
A pair of desktop deals have been added as well. Those looking for a cheap tower can grab the Lenovo H50 with a Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 500GB hard drive for $299.99. This is the same price as Office Depot/OfficeMax will be offering on Black Friday, though its version comes with an AMD processor instead of Intel and double the RAM and hard drive space. Finally, the HP Envy all-in-one PC with a Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 23.8-inch touchscreen will be on sale for $799.99, $100 less than currently on Best Buy's site (not the $200 advertised).
