Forget an official announcement. Best Buy is evidently moving forward with plans for selling the Motorola Droid 2 already.
Without a verified peep from either Verizon Wireless or Motorola, the electronics giant is already listing the highly-awaited smartphone in stores with two price tags. The first is the friendlier-looking $199 with the signing of a new two-year service agreement. Or buyers can taste the price of carrier freedom for $599.
This isn't the first time we've seen something Droid 2-related spotted at Best Buy, as protective cases were already seen over a week ago. Most followers are predicting an early August release date, most notably August 12.
With only four days left until the potential launch date, we should be seeing something concrete real soon or just one big bash on Thursday. Hopefully we'll also get a peek at that rumored Star Wars-edition as well.
