Boeing installs electric vehicle chargers in 4 states

Deployment was made at the request of the aircraft company's employees in the affected locations.

Aircraft and aerospace technology company Boeing has teamed up with Coulomb Technologies to make electric vehicle charging infrastructure at four campuses.

The locations getting the technology are Bellevue, Wash.; Portland, Ore.; El Segundo, Calif.; and Mesa, Ariz.

The program is being described as a pilot test of the technologies, which were being requested by employees in these locations. The Boeing Utilities Services & Conservation Group will take charge of running the test, using the ChargePoint cloud application for monitoring, so that usage can be tracked closely before a decision is made about broader, more formal deployments. The company worked with Charge Northwest, an electric vehicle technology consulting firm, to install the systems.
