Borland touts Visual dBase 7
Borland is showing Visual dBase 7 for the first time at the two-day SoftDev WebDev exhibition in London that ends today.
Pencilled in for a December ship date, the Windows 95/NT database development tool offers new Two-Way report builder tool; Project Explorer tool for creating apppliation file directory viewers; Visual SQL Builder; InstallShield Express tool for creating uninstall routines; better connectivity with Microsoft FoxPro and Access; and a faster compiler. The Workbench IDE environment is identical to that in Delphi, C++ Builder, JBuilder and IntraBuilder.
The Professional version of the product will cost about £249 + VAT on the street with the Client/Server edition at £995 + VAT.
