Who went to the Noddy Holder school of spelling...

A BT website has been taken down after it was defaced by a hacker calling himself PaGgY yesterday. The website, called BTShine, is a portal for its own customer service staff to track and administer sales bonuses. At 10:00(BST) this morning the site was still up, but read: "PaGgY ownz British Telecom ! lol" in the left hand corner. Beneath the official BT text warning unauthorised users not to attempt to access the system, the cracker wrote: "Well mister kiss my ass and sing a song!". A spokesman for BT denied the hack had got any further than the front page, and said employees' personal details held on the website had not been affected. He confirmed the site - http://www.btshine.com - has now been taken down. The service is run for BT by external consultancy The Grass Roots Group. Alan Curnow, head of marketing for the firm, said: "The site has been taken down to be fixed, however no real damage was done. This is an irritant rather than anything else." He did not say when the site will be back up. According to NetCraft the site runs Microsoft's IIS web server on NT4.
