BuzzBand buzzes you when a call comes in

If you don't mind wearing a bracelet, the BuzzBand is a great alternative to carrying your phone in your hand.

Have you ever missed a call because you didn't feel your phone vibrate or you couldn't hear it ring? Well, if you don't mind wearing a bracelet, then BuzzBand is for you.

BuzzBand connects to your mobile phone via Bluetooth 2.0 and offers up the ability for you to feel (via a vibration) when a call comes in. From the BuzzBand you have the ability to feel a phone call, reject incoming calls, and even be vibrated when your phone is more than 10 meters away from you.

It's an interesting concept and one that I'll be trying out in the coming weeks. From the pictures, though, it doesn't look too comfortable.

If the BuzzBand could show caller ID and also have a built-in microphone so that you could actually take the call while talking to your wrist--like David Hasselhoff talking with KITT on "Knight Rider"--then I'd be sold, and so would many other geeks across the land. As it stands, it presents an interesting offering, but one that I'm still not completely sold on.
