Calacanis moving on

There's a lot of buzzing about Jason Calacanis' announcement that he's leaving AOL in the wake of Jonathan Miller's departure. Prior to joining ZDnet, I worked with Jason at Weblogs, Inc. for a couple of years, writing three blogs for the network. Jason was a great guy to work for - full of passion and conviction and utterly without fear. He sometimes could make you cringe with his outspoken style but you never doubted his sincerity or utter belief in what he was saying or doing.

I have no doubt that whatever he undertakes next will be iconoclastic, upsetting to the status quo, and almost certainly unpredictable.
