The amazing ChicagoCrime.org took second place in the Second Annual MashupCamp. ChicagoCrime mashes crime data from the Chicago Police Dept.'s ICAM site with Google maps to provide visual maps of where the crime is. The site allows you to view types of crime (not  just homicides but first-degree murders, justifiables, etc.), but crimes by block, police disrict, time, date, and more. The site even lets you draw a route and discover where and when crimes have occurred.

Dan Farber writes: "This kind of e-government mashup will become pervasive in metropolitan areas, giving citizens, not just the civilian and government authorities, access to data."
