Factiva, a Dow Jones & Reuters Company, has appointed Chris Pash as director of Asia Pacific Content Strategy. Pash will pioneer the development, aggregation and distribution of electronic content in the Asia Pacific region via Factiva's recently-released desktop business intelligence service Factiva.com.
Factiva's content strategy for Asia Pacific is focused on continued expansion of access to key business-oriented newspapers, newswires, vertical industry sources and business periodicals in the region.
Pash, 44, a business manager and former newswire journalist and editor, is a pioneer in the creation, aggregation and distribution of electronic content in the Asia-Pacific region.
From January 1996 to June 2000, Pash was the founding CEO of Asia Pulse, a regional joint venture of Asian news agencies.
Prior to his appointment at Asia Pulse, he worked with AAP, the domestic Australian news agency, as a correspondent, bureau chief, editor-in-charge and manager.
He began his career at the Albany Advertiser newspaper in 1975 in Western Australia.
