SINGAPORE - CircleCOM Ltd [ASX: CCO], a leading new generation, full service provider of global integrated communications services, today announced that premier Indonesian Internet Service Provider (ISP) PT Metrodata Global Akses has signed up for CircleCOM's broadband satellite access service.

Under this deal, CircleCOM will supply 5 Mbps in total of satellite link, including 4 Mbps downlink and 1 Mbps uplink.

Said Mr Richard Chan, CEO of CircleCOM Ltd, "Despite the current poor market sentiment in Indonesia, we have placed a lot of confidence in that economy to pick up considerably in the near future. CircleCOM has a full Indonesia team in place: sales, support and technical staff, to take care of our customers there."

With an estimated Internet penetration rate of only 1% out of a population of 200 million, the growth potential for Internet usage in Indonesia is tremendous. The upper and middle strata, in particular, who can afford to plug into the wired world, make up approximately 15% of the population and growing rapidly.

PT Metrodata Global Akses awarded the project to CircleCOM due to several factors. The first was CircleCOM's ability to implement the structurally-challenging service successfully, going 'live' in only two weeks despite the fact that other bidders for the project were skeptical, despite of given more than two week implementation mandate.

The second factor was circleCOM's domain expertise with regard to telecommunications and knowledge of the Indonesian market.

Other winning features of CircleCOM's telecommunication solution include fast, cost-efficient configuration, and the scalability offering for increasing bandwidth in a minimal amount of time in the near future.

Another major telecom project recently completed by CircleCOM in Indonesia is a full-facility, 11,000 square foot data center in Jakarta catering to bluechip clients like MCI-Worldcom, IXNet, McKinsey Consulting, etc. This data center is housed in the Stock Exchange Building in the central SCBD area in Jakarta and CircleCOM holds exclusive rights to provide a complete range of telecommunications services to all buildings in the SCBD including 20,000 land lines.

CircleCOM also possesses a complete 24/7 facilities management contract for data transmission into and out of Indonesia from Ipirion AG of Zurich through a 24 Mbps satellite.
