The winner of the 2007 CNET Networks UK Business Technology Awards Enterprise Software Product of the Year was 1E's NightWatchman.
In this category, which was open to proprietary and open-source software, the judges were looking for a piece of software that could be anything from an operating system or middleware to an ERP system or an application that sits on a mobile device.
The key was what it had done for businesses and how it had changed working practices for the better.
NightWatchman is a centralised application that safely and automatically shuts down PCs across an enterprise, protecting any unsaved user documents before doing so. It's highly manageable and configurable, and can save organisations money while at the same time boosting their green credentials by reducing their carbon footprint.
