Computer addicts told to get a life

A novel approach to curing computer addiction has been formulated by software firm, Visionary2000, which hopes that obtrusive abuse and obscenities should deter even the most uncontrollable computer addict.

Getalife (TM) flashes extraordinarily unsympathetic messages at afflicted users who have become desperate enough to put up with this new tough-love approach.

The Getalife Web site reads: "In case of emergency or loss of will-power, Getalife(TM) can be overridden. But not before the user is assaulted with insults to encourage temporary abstinence from the life-sucking machine."
