Credit Union Australia (CUA) is on the hunt for a new chief information officer (CIO) following the news that incumbent Barry Los is taking early retirement.
Under Los, CUA announced a plan to overhaul its core banking system in March, switching from a home-grown, proprietary core to an off-the-shelf product from Tata Consultancy Services.
As such, the bank is looking for a transformation expert to head up the project.
"CUA is currently implementing its new core banking system, and the role of the CIO will be critical in the successful delivery of this major project," CUA said in its ad.
CUA hasn't been without its technology-driven lows during Los' tenure, with the bank forced to take its online banking platform offline during the floods that engulfed the Brisbane central business district in January, leaving customers stranded without their cash nationally.
The current CUA CIO Barry Los spent 14 years with the bank.
