Cupcake Camp 2: sweet, but chaotic
The second Cupcake Camp was hosted Sunday in South Park at the offices of Get Satisfaction.
Bakers from all over the bay area converged in a contest of art, creativity, and frosting.
Over 2,000 cupcakes were presented, and they were gobbled up within seconds of being released to the public. Every ten minutes, about 118 cupcakes were delivered to the tables inside the Satisfactory.
It was crowded, as expected, but the experience was fulfilling, especially when the newest batch of treats were delivered.
The oddest cupcakes I saw were called "Spaghetti & Meatballs":
The tastiest? S'mores, of course:
This was a huge improvement from the first camp hosted this past June. My goal is to have the next camp here at CBS Interactive in the CHOW kitchen.
