I am heading to Boston next week. If you want to meet up drop me a line. Also, if you want to be totally immersed in the the cyber crime threat scenario please join me for breakfast at the Fairmont Copley downtown. Just sign up here. My presentation hypothesizes that cyber crime is growing at a rate that far outpaces defensive measures. Without adequate deterrents where will cyber crime go? It is not a pretty picture. If you are in a financial services organization this is a must-attend event!
I wrote about the economics of cyber crime recently over here. Momentum is building around our organizational efforts to convene the first Workshop on the Economics of Cyber Crime. We have two co-sponsors: the Silicon Flatirons Program and the Computer and Communications Security Center which is part of the University of Colorado Boulder law School. The time frame of this open workshop is February-March of 2007. Let me know if you want to be on the announcement list. (richard at it-harvest.com)
