I mentioned last week that there was a new Debian GNU/Linux release available (6.0.3). At that time the Live images had not been updated. As of today (or late yesterday), they have. So if you want to get an easy look at the latest Debian running on your hardware, or you prefer to (or must) install from a Live image rather than the normal netinst image, you're good to go now.

Remember that these, like all other current Debian distributions, are hybrid images which can either be burned to a DVD (sorry, the image is just over 1GB, so it won't fit on a CD any more), or they can be copied directly to a USB stick with the dd command.

For those who are still clinging to outdated information and prejudices, it is also worth noting that the Live distribution has a rather nice GUI installer, in addition to the traditional text installer. I just installed the Live image on my Lenovo S10-3s, and everything went smoothly, as expected.
