Dell appoints new ANZ managing director

Joseph Kremer, previously vice president of sales for Dell's mid-market division in the US, will replace David Miller as the local region's managing director. Miller was recently appointed joint managing director for Dell China.
Dell said it had more than doubled its sales in Australia and New Zealand in the past two years, bringing it closer to the number one position in the combined industry standard server, desktop and notebook segments.
Kremer said around 80 percent of the company's business came from the business and public sector. However, the consumer market still remains important.
"Over the years we've helped drive down the cost of computing and now we're doing the same in consumer electronics, first in printers and more recently with the introduction of Dell's first LCD TV in Australia several months ago," he said.
Kremer has more than 19 years industry experience. He joined Dell as vice president of sales, marketing and sales operations for Dell's software and peripherals business in the US, where he drove more than double digit growth during 2003.
Before joining Dell, Kremer was vice president of marketing for CDW, a business technology solutions provider, government and education industries in the US. Prior to this, he held a number of management positions at IBM.
