Dell Europe appoints workstation boss
Dell Europe has appointed David Altounian to head its bid to conquer the workstation market.
Altounian, a former worldwide marketing director for the direct seller's smash-hit portables division, will be charged with taking the battle to Compaq as PC vendors seek to best RISC workstation makers by combining Intel's Pentium II with Windows NT.
Dell will officially launch its workstation business later this year.
