Takes low-cost, easy to use PC model to printers...

Dell has launched seven new printers for the UK and European market, seven months after introducing them in the US. Available from next month, the printer range is aimed at both the consumer and business markets, with the emphasis on ease of use. The printers prompt users when to order replacement cartridges and Dell has established a programme to recycle toner cartridges where customers send used cartridges back to the company in the pre-paid postage package that ships it out originally. At the high-end, Dell's Workgroup Laser Printer M5200n is its most powerful monochrome laser printer suited for high-volume print jobs generated by users in networked office environments and is priced at £727.33. It also features configuration tools and remote management features. The S2500 and S2500n – priced at £339.58 and £515.83 respectively – are aimed at small businesses, while the consumer range starts at £59.99. Peter Ward, Director, Software and Peripherals for Dell in Europe, said in a statement: "Customers have told us that purchasing printers, replacement ink and toner direct is easy and preferable. The seven products we are announcing today provide even more options for customers to make Dell their complete technology provider."
