Just a quick note this a.m. to mark that Digium (The Asterisk Company) has just announced its one millionth download in 2007 of its open-source Internet telephony solution.
This has been an upbeat year for Huntsville, Alabama-based Digium. Four possible quarters this year now marks 24 consecutive quarters in the money.
Carrying the flag forward has been the Asterisk Appliance (AA50), a standalone embedded Asterisk-based PBX targeted for small to medium businesses (2-50 users), remote branch offices of larger organizations (2-50 users per site), and managed service providers for on-premise CPE-based solutions with SIP or IAX trunking.
