ICT provider Dimension Data announced the launch of a Managed Cloud Platform in Toronto, Canada, bringing the company's total number of global MCPs to 12.
Dimension Data said the new location will serve the data requirements for Canadian organizations, as well as meet the demand for cloud services across the region.
The latest MCP was built on Cisco, EMC and VMware architecture, which Dimension Data said provides multiple layers of security and advanced administrative controls to users.
"The MCP's enhanced reliability, flexible capacity on-demand, automation and orchestration through our CloudControl and API-based integration offer clear benefits to clients and OneCloud partners in Canada and around the world," said Wendy Lucas, country manager for Dimension Data Canada, in a prepared statement. "We are pleased to offer this powerful platform with global functionality in the Canadian market."
Dimension Data announced in May plans for an MCP in New Zealand, and said it now expects that location to launch later this year. Other Dimension Data MCPs include two US locations in Santa Clara, California, Ashburn, Virginia, as well as global locations in London, Amsterdam, Sydney, Melbourne, Johannesburg, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Sao Paulo.
