Dixons group buys mail order specialist

The UK's biggest electrical retailing group, Dixons, today announced it has bought a mail order firm for £9.7 million.

Dixons now owns Manchester-based DN Computer Services (DNCS), which sells computer products to the business sector. DNCS's catalogue offers 5,000 product lines including systems, software and peripherals as well as related services. DNCS will operate as a separate division of PC World, which is owned by the Dixons Group, and enable it to expand the store-based business services it already offers.
