Hey guess what.

On Monday, you will be able to buy the new, cordless phone Linksys Internet Telephony Kit (CIT200) and use it with your Skype service.

For your $129.99, you'll get a handset, charger, and a USB base station that plugs into a PC's USB port. You already know Linksys' Daddy-Cisco Systems.

With the handset, you'll be able to read and display your Skype contact lists. It will work with SkypeIn, SkypeOut, and Skype VoiceMail.

This is no less than the next big leap in VoIP adoption. I know several people who might be persuaded to try Skype, but they don't want to mess with headsets. And because the CIT 200 will use DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications) technology, it will not interfere with cell phones or other devices you might be working with.

Linksys already has superb distribution in major consumer electronics and computer retailers, and online. This will be everywhere.
