EarthLink, the No. 2 U.S. Internet service provider, said Wednesday Charles Brewer has resigned as board chairman to pursue other interests.
Brewer will be succeeded by Sky Dayton, the 28-year-old founder of Earthlink. The Atlanta-based Earthlink said Brewer has sold his holdings
in EarthLink, of which the company purchased 2.845 million shares
as part of its previously announced stock repurchase plan. Shares of Earthlink rose 3/16 to close at 11-1/8 on the
