eBay said Thursday that it has acquired the remaining stake of BillSafe, a purchase and invoicing technology company. eBay already owned a minority stake in the German company.
In a statement, eBay said the plan was to combine BillSafe's technology with its PayPal unit.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. BillSafe's technology allows customers to pick an item to buy and then get an invoice for payment later. That form of payment is popular in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands and nearly 20 percent of transactions were invoice billed.
The acquisition doesn't have any material impact on eBay's quarterly financials.
