Egg to crack on with e-payment scheme

Online bank Egg is set to unveil an internet-based cash system today. The system will enable small payments to be transferred between anyone with an email address and a bank account, according to this morning's FT. Egg launched in October 1998 and has just under two million customers. It listed on the London Stock Exchange in June 2000.
