SINGAPORE - Equant has announced an agreement with Hewlett-Packard to further integrate HP OpenView service management tools into Equant's global support centers.
Equant, which already uses HP OpenView in the management of the world's largest seamless data network, now extends it to its local area network, desktop and server farms worldwide.
The system will be deployed at its its global support centers, which deliver Equant's managed messaging, security, hosting and desktop management services.
According to the company’s press release, HP OpenView consolidates alarms in real-time across hardware and Software platforms and enables the root causes of problems to be identified quickly and consistently.
Paul Richman, Equant's vice president, Global Managed Services, commented, "The expansion of our commitment to HP OpenView marks an organic improvement in our service levels. We are increasing our investment in a universal management system that is an integral part of our evolution as a global managed services provider."
