European notebook sales grew 4.2% in May

Context reveals the results of its European PC market survey for the month of May 2004. The notebook market grew 4.2% YTY, the biggest gain was noticed in Germany, UK and France, where the falling prices led to 24.7% rise YTY. Enterprise servers grew 2%, and Tablet PCs did not quite manage to keep up with notebook growth, but still posted healthy 4% YTY, while desktop PC sales went down 6.6%. HP, Toshiba and Acer are European market leaders.
