Now Britain's Muslims can have a muezzin in their pockets, with a new service calling them to prayer five times a day via a mobile phone.

The service, offered by PatelsCornerShop.com, is a modern-day, British equivalent to the mosque tower, from which the muezzin traditionally calls the devout to worship at namaaz, or prayer time.

Namaaz change each day because they are based on the changing times of the rising and setting sun. Registered users at PatelsCornerShop can opt for a beep reminder, or can browse namaaz times through a WAP phone.

What do you think? Tell the Mailroom. And read what others have said.
