Company's financial crisis continues to worsen...

The chief finance officer of troubled ISP Excite@home has resigned as the company's financial crisis continues to worsen. The company said that Mark McEachen was leaving Excite to 'pursue other activities'. The resignation is effective immediately. McEachen joined the company as executive vice president and CFO in July last year. The company said it was looking for a replacement but could not estimate how long it will take to fill the position. Excite has verged on bankruptcy over the past few months, with one investor demanding the company return a $50m investment.
