External services to generate $268.7 bln in 2005

US organizations will spend approximately $268.7 bln in 2005 on external services, representing growth of 6.6% over 2004, according to IDC. Fueled primarily by outsourcing of both IT and business processes, the US services market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.1% through 2009 to reach an estimated $355 bln.
