in brief A fault has brought down a number of Vodafone's customer care departments, forcing customers to turn to social media.
The outage is affecting Vodafone's post-paid support, technical support and BlackBerry support call centre services, Cormac Hodgkinson, Vodafone's director of customer service and experience, said in a blog post.
The departments are currently unable to take any incoming calls, he said. However, the company's other customer support services remain unaffected.
Customers unable to reach affected support services have been directed to the company's Twitter and Facebook pages, as well as to the company's newly-launched social forum The Community.
