Finzsoft Solutions has inked a five-year agreement to move its core and vertical banking applications to IBM's cloud.
The deal will see Finzsoft's applications housed in IBM datacentres in Auckland and Wellington, and will help the company expand by offering software as a service across the Asia-Pacific region, Finzsoft said.
The cloud-based model enables Finzsoft to meet growing demand from clients for operating models that deliver agility, availability, and stability, it said.
Earlier this month, New Zealand-listed Finzsoft announced that it had secured its largest order to date from Australia's St George Bank for the next phase of the integration of the auto and equipment finance business of Capital Finance Australia (CFAL), including the award of a major new migration project.
Finzsoft will use IBM Cloud Managed Infrastructure Services for New Zealand as well as infrastructure from IBM's SoftLayer, enabling the company to take advantage of IBM's global datacentres.
"Having the IBM brand behind us will strengthen our business proposals to our clients and enable a continued focus on the development and delivery of transformational and scalable solutions for our clients," said Andrew Holliday, managing director of Finzsoft.
Finzsoft has offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and Auckland and employs over 90 people.
