Netscape is gunning for a say in push by issuing a preview version of its Communicator Web client with broadcast capabilities today. The bad news is you can't see it unless you've stumped up the cash for privileged developer status.

The long-awaited version of Communicator with Netcaster can only be downloaded by DevEdge Gold members, an exclusive club who pay $495 apiece for earlybird views of Netscape products and other perks.

Netscape says a beta of Netcaster will be generally available next week.
