For local searches 66% turn to search engines, 34% - to Yellow Pages

Search engines accounted for 66% of local searchers, while Internet Yellow Pages sites and Yellow Pages channels accounted for 34% of local searches, according to a survey by Yellow Pages Association and comScore Networks. However, those who use an online Yellow Pages are more likely to convert to buyers in five categories - automotive, financial services, drugstores, home & garden, and restaurants.
