Forget the ice cream truck, check out this solar-powered cart

Designed by Dutch company Springtime, the cart uses two solar panels to keep the contents from melting.

Some day, the ice cream vendors hawking their wares in city parks or on street corners might be using a solar-powered cart like this one developed by Springtime, which hails from Holland.

The cart, created in collaboration with IJSen Zopie and Odenwald Organics, comes with two roof-mounted photovoltaic panels that charge up the batteries controlling the freezer. It is made of aluminum and can be hitched to a vehicle to be transported from location to location.
