Freeserve boss quits following restructuring

No room left for Keeling after Wanadoo takeover
Written by Jane Wakefield, Contributor

Freeserve chief operating officer Frank Keeling has quit following the acquisition of the ISP by French ISP Wanadoo.

The takeover last December leaves no room for Keeling, who handled the day-to-day running of Freeserve's business. Following a new organisation structure his post no longer exists and in the absence of any suitable role Keeling has agreed to leave the company.

Commenting on his departure, chief executive John Pluthero wished him well in his future career. "Frank has made a significant and valuable contribution to Freeserve during his time with us for which we are extremely grateful," he says in a statement. There is speculation that Keeling's next move could be to the soon-to-be-vacant job as Yahoo!'s European director.
