FTSE boost from telco stocks

Fickle phone stocks today heading up...

Telecom stocks led the movers in London this morning as the FTSE and Techmark built on yesterday's gains. Vodafone put in the strongest telco performance jumping 4.58 per cent to 89p by 10.25(BST). BT also gained, rising 0.67 per cent to 245p. Cable & Wireless added 2.68 per cent to stand at 167.5p. In Paris France Telecom rose a further 12.87 per cent after closing yesterday up 16 per cent.
