Gadget Brief: MP3 walkman on the way

According to a report in today's New Scientist, US Electronics company NAiAM is working on a personal stereo that plays audio tracks downloaded from the Net.

MP3 - the preferred format for music on the Net - allows users to record onto rewritable CDs which hold about 10 hours of music - about 175 songs.

ZDNet News will be discussing the new player this evening. A report will appear in Gadget Briefs tomorrow.
