Gmail adds rich text formatting, calendar RSVPs to mobile

Google is bringing more standard word processing functions to Gmail and Android and integrating calendar responses.

The company said Wednesday that it was adding rich text formatting to its mobile Gmail app. Android will also support rich text formatting.

In addition, Google said the company also added instant RSVPs to calendar invites from Google Calendar and Microsoft Exchange. The latter move eliminates the need to open a separate app to schedule a meeting.
